Colleen Parrott (Environmental Programs Manager, Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis): The ASRP is the Aquatic Species Restoration Plan. It is a basin-wide plan to systematically restore areas that are imperiled for the survival of salmonids and other aquatic species.
Nicholas Carr (Chehalis Basin Director, Forterra): It’s one half of the Chehalis Basin Strategy. The other half addresses flood damage and flood mitigation. It’s a very ambitious plan.
Rebecca Robison (Landowner/ASRP Participant): As a land owner, becoming involved in this program initially it was to save my house. I think it was around 1998 when I came home and the entire field from the road to my house was water. Now that I understand what the ASRP is, I think it’s a valuable entity that’s going to educate people and be available so landowners could get involved who are in aquatic areas. It’s just nice to know there’s somebody to go to to get information and get some involvement and what’s happening on the rivers.
